The studio comes to you so that you're in the comfort of your own home, are able to have feed breaks without any fuss or stress. A typical shoot lasts between one and a half to two hours. You can typically expect to have access to your edited photos within 2-3 weeks (sometimes longer in very busy periods). James can bring a limited number of props but encourages clients to find/ source little outfits, hats, pods or anything else for that matter that they would like to be used in the shoot. The UK seems to have limited resources for creative options but James often points people to etsy.com to buy the perfect little something. (Remember that as |
products bought from Etsy are often handmade and shipped from the states, allow plenty of time for them to arrive so that they are ready for your shoot). Although James regularly photographs babies right through to any ages, for the sleepy 'very newborn' type of shots then the advise would be to have a shoot within the first two of babies life. It may sound like that may be a bit of a challenge, but having a very sleepy little one makes for pics that are very hard to replicate in ages soon after this.
After they reach an age where they're able to walk then the advice would be to look at lifestyle shoots that can be out and about to give much more character and personality to your photographs using your local environment.
