LEXY & VICTOR WINNERS!!!

Now that I’ve had time to build up my main website I’m starting to turn my attention to another little venture – namingly “DustOffTheDress.com” I’m going to be aiming it as a high end anything goes post wedding shoot for brides to get back in their wedding dresses after the big day. It’s also commonly known as ‘trash the dress’ in the states and other diguises include ‘rock the frock’, ‘cherish the dress’ amongst many others.

To help me build up a portfolio I’m looking for a horse complete with lady rider that would be able to get on a beach at low tide, jump into a wedding dress (that I can provide if necessary) so that I can use the images promotionally in exchanage for you getting the pictures at high res on CD to cherish.

 

 

Entry is starightforwards… you need to send a couple of pictures of yourself & horse together with a few lines for why you would want to do it together with why your loved much horse would like to do it too.  Please email your two pics and you reasons to email@jamesrouse.com  A £3 donation for entry will be split between North Norfolk  Hunt Harriers and the East Anglian Air Ambulance (details of which can be sent back after your pics have been received).

The shoot is likely to take place on an evening sometime over the next 2 or 3 months at mutual convenience.  The Winner will be selected by a carefully thought deliberation between Sue Allen (North Norfolk Horse Show organiser extraordinaire) & myself.  We may be swayed by persuasive comments so support your favs!

 

 

Adele & Cappa.

Adele Says: Please vote for me because…….this may be the only time I get to wear a wedding dress and have some fantastic photographs taken and I couldn’t think of a better way to do this than with my horse!

Cappa Says: Mums sometimes looks scruffy on my back, when we go out for a hack, she’s never married, nor likely to be, for her to wear a dress, us to look our best wow, what a sight to see

Jade & Zak

Jade Says: I dont get to ride and spend much time with my first baby (Zak) anymore due to the arrival of the gorgeous Poppie, this would give me chance to have an enjoyable evening doing what i origianlly used to do best (be smelling of horses instead of baby sick!!) and also looking like a million dollers having photos done with my number 1 boy so i can show him i still love him. So please vote for us.

Zak Says: Since my mum had a baby we dont spend much quality time together any more without the baby being around! So this would be mine and my mums chance to spend some time together just us without the baby being with us, and then i can get in some photos with MY mum…….. as she was my mum first!!! And i then may actually get a bath this year as well……..

Willow & Molly

Willow Says: Like the next teenage girl who owns their own horse, i adore my mine. We’ve had many other horses which have come and gone, but i’ve always made sure that Molly has stayed! Purely because i know that there isn’t any other one like her. I’m planning on giving her a full retirement in a few years; although she won’t be too happy about that, as she still thinks she’s a 6 year old. When it comes down to it she’s my best friend and winning this fantastic opputunity and getting some wonderful photos would ultimatly be the perfect end to mine and mollys riding partnership together.

Molly Says: I’ve had Willow as my owner for as long as i can remember now, i’ve seen her grow up and i feel lucky that she hasn’t grown out of riding or lost interest in me, Over these years i’ve tried my best to keep her safe, although thats not always possible when she’s flying off towards the floor anyway, despite this she’s never blamed or punished me for our mistakes.Though I must admit it has been 100% my fault at times lol. You should vote for us because i love cantering on the beach and splashing about in the water, and i can’t think of a better day out than taking part in this with my companion by my side.

 

Sarah & Kitty

Sarah Says: I am very privileged to be able to ride this wonderful horse Kitty Flynn, after suffering a very bad riding accident last November Kitty has given me the confidence to get back in the saddle. Unfortunately I had to sell my own horse, but having Kitty around has enabled me to enjoy riding once again when at times I thought this would be impossible.  I recently got married in Cuba and it would be fantastic to wear my dress again and involve my passion for horses, Kitty loves spending time at the beach.  Money from this is also being donated to the East Anglian Air Ambulance, they do an amazing job and I personally have a lot to thank them for. So please vote for us x

 

Kelly & Ranu

Kelly says: I would love to have a chance to have some great photos taken with my gorgeous boy!! I have had Ranu for 4 years and as the beach is on our door step we love to go down as much as we can, it would be fantastic to have some photos taken that I can keep forever.. and it may even give my fiancee (of 16 years!!) the kick up the bum that he needs for me to have my own wedding dress!!

Ranu says: I came from Spain four years ago and was very unimpressed with the weather!! but my mum has looked after me and even gave me a human duvet when it snowed!! despite the weather I like living in Norfolk, and my favourite is when my mum says lets go for a ride on the beach, I love nothing better than dragging my mum to the sea and swimming when the waves are not too big.. I’ve done a small amount of posing when I was featured in the EDP Nofolkmagazine and I think I could get quite use to all the pampering!!

 

Leonie & Polly

Leonie says: apart from the fact that I’m getting married next year and not yet appointed a photographer – one of course that’ll be horse friendly as I plan to ride up to the church on my beloved horse.  We’d love to do it; we’re 10mins hack away from the beach – a huge bay of golden sand and rippling waves, we’re used to paddling in the waves and galloping along the shoreline (even been known to have the odd swim together)

Polly says: wayhay the beach! and a frock? Sounds like she’s been on that alcoholic apple drink again

Lexy & Victor

Lexy Says: After Victor was ill for nearly all of 2010 and spent over 5 months confined to his stable, I know that he would love to celebrate his amazing recovery with a gallop through the sea. As he was ill at the time of my own wedding we never got to have any pictures of us together, so winning this competition would be a dream come true!

Victor Says: Oh I do like to be beside the seaside, Oh I do like to be beside the sea, I’d make a gorgeous model, So please vote for me!
