Southwood Hall – Wedding Brochure Photography Shoot

What can I say… it was a monster shoot!

I had the most fun with a couple of cameras for absolutely ages!  The day was hosted and arranged at Southwood Hall.  For those of you who do not know about this little gem of a place, you soon will do.  It’s simply stunning and billed as, “A perfect and exclusive setting for parties, weddings, celebrations and conferences available from January 2011″.

By the end of the day I was a little ruddy soaked, but I was still smiling from ear to ear having had massive amounts fun fueled by a rather scrummy cake make by Anna!

The website for Southwood is currently under construction www.southwoodhall.com but in the meantime whet your appetite by looking at some of the pictures below or give them a call on 01493 700 244 where Anna and Melissa would be pleased to hear from you and help you in any way they can.

The event was massively well supported and expertly organised by the Southwood Event Planner Melissa.  A big thanks to the following people…

Tim – Evolved Media – Creative Design, Print and Marketing Company Acle

Julia & Neil – N & J Horse Drawn Carriages

Rachael – Country Florist (Acle)

Carmen – Dragon Fly Therapy Room (Bawdeswell)

Vicky – Antora Bridalwear

Victoria – Victoria Coe (Makeup)

Gordon – Vintage Car and Camper Hire

James & Hannah Burrows, Daniel & Tina Taylor, Woody & Mandy King (+girls), Marc & Kelly Stocker (+girls).  If I’ve missed your details please email me and I’ll add you to the list.
Click on “View Full Post” underneath and to the left of this image to view a selection of shots taken over the course of the day.

I don’t know what my mother would be more worried about.  The clothing I have on and the given weather conditions or the way that Kev is licking his lips!:-)

Behind the scenes image from back where the whole image stream started.  Some expert veil throwing by Anna!

Jan Saunders - Aalthough there are so many excellent pics to choose from Photos 31 & 99 come over as a personal look at the day as if the couple stole away for a few seconds alone to celebrate their special day & get away from everyone. It has captured the love that a wedding should be. The place looks fantastic, also the pic of the Horse leading the trap with the Blue plume looks fantastic.

Alison Jarvis - All are lovely, but my favourites are the ones with the campervan- makes me wish I was getting married again, to my husband of course!

Sue Leonard - I love picture 25 – this simple image captures the essence of the day and for me represents the love in the couple’s eyes as they celebrate their special day. Delightful!

Eleanor Lewis - I am very hard pressed to find 1 best picture. Would have to say the VW van with the two men larking around as this shows the fun of the day (and I would LOVE to own a camper van !) and the wedding cake taken from low showing the ceiling of the hall. This is such a simple picture but I feels sums up the fact that it is a wedding venue but at a classy and historic place

SASHA HOWLETT - There all fabulous pictures its to hard to choose but

my favorite picture has to be the one with the lady under the cold water bucket. Having done that myself this photo really captures the whole thrill and experience of the spa!!

rob land - has to be james laying in the snow to get the perfect picture. that is dedication

Laura drewry - What can i say there fab! Gutted im already married lol looks like a fab venue. X

Maxine Maddison - Love the Campervan and the 2 men looking very cheeky in the front seats, but my fave has to be you James. Stuck to the ice, freezing the parts that shouldn’t be frozen. Is it you James or is it Dom Joly?

Shane Finn - Great make-up Victoria!

Kelly Stocker - Fab pics as always Mr Rouse!
My faves are 73 and 82…but I’m bias!! lol xx

Melissa Mitchell - They are all fantastic pictures and choosing just 1 is impossible so….21 (boys messing around by the campervan)and 26(the kambala shower splash shot)

Michelle - This venue looks awesome! I would defintely consider Southwood Hall as a venue. Photography – excellent. Crisp images, emotions captured & intricate attention to detail. Qualities we look for in a quality photographer!!!Pics- – wow, so many favourites (15) nice to know a venue caters for families & small children (05) Massage – what a treat. Does she come with the wedding package? I want a massage!!!

natalie egmore - All the photos are lovely and what a lush venue!! My favourites are the ones of the couples standing in front of the water (the darker ones) How Romantic! x

Michelle Foyster - I especially like no.35 & 61. But my daughter is in them!!
I really like the ones of the decor i.e no.49

Mandy King - Superb photos I have to say. Absolutely love the photos with that stunning dark midnight blue sky in the background.

Vicky Allen - Absolutely adore them all, you were fantastic, eye for detail and not afraid to get soaking wet and freezing cold laying on the floor in the snow, true dedication as a photographer, will definately have to pass your details on to my clients in future. Thanks so much

Kay Cavanagh - My favourites are 47 and 26.
47 shows enough of the beautiful building to entice people to visit Southwood Hall for a viewing and shows a ‘cheeky’ photo to show it is a relaxed comfortable venue.
Photo 26 shows that it is not just about the big day and the Hall offers much more than an average venue that can be enjoyed pre/post wedding.

Annie Redmore - My favourite is the first one – 00 – as it is just simply beautiful. Well done James, looking forward to putting these together in the brochure! xx

Anna Key - It has to be the one of you by me! I HAVE TO WIN THE BEST PHOTO!

Helen Blake - They are all absolutely fantastic, but I personally like the ones of the carriage driving into the driveway (eg 81) as I drove past while you were doing those ones! ;)

Leigh Duffield - I love all the outside photos but especially the 1st photo. We have just booked at Southwood Hall for December 2012 and would love to have snow on our wedding day!

Paul Coe - I like the number 101 – also I see it’s in black and white at the very start, it’s the look on the faces of the bride and groom..the look of shear fun, laughter and beauty in the eyes. You have captured the momemts that ppl simply miss as time goes in a split second. To me I if i have weddings pictures like this then I would be able to look back and be in that moment..abit like time travel.Well done to everyone!

carol perry - Our daughter is getting married at Southwood, on 0ctober first! aND SHE HAS BOOKED YOU FOR YOUR AMAZING PHOTOGRAPHY! i like the one off you laying down in the snow, but all the photos were so good, cant wait! xx

My favourite picture is 120, as it shows true dedication and commitment You have for photography lol :o )

121 is also amazing and i DEFINITLY want to have one taken like this on my wedding day. YAY!!!!!!! x
